Sounds Like
Intenta ser la conjunción y el equilibrio entre el sonido de la guitarra clásica,con matices aportados por la música popular contemporanea.Influencias estas evidenciadas desde la década del 60.
Años en donde la expansión y el desarrollo de la guitarra en el mundo,abrió los horizontes e hizo claudicar los estereotipos rígidos y los compartimentos estancos.Tratando de aportar distintos matices,sin descuidar la calidez del sonido de la guitarra clásica,pero sumando además fuerza y expresividad ,poniendo de manifiesto los recursos de la polifonía,y el vigor de la percusividad,y la posibilidad sonora que brindan los instrumentos de autor de los últimos años.
El tratamiento del sonido,intenta no recurrir a recursos tecnológicos como bancos de datos(rags) y /u otros efectos que la tecnología nos brinda.No por desmerecerlos,sino por el solo hecho de matener la esencia del sonido de la guitarra en su real y cabal dimensión.
El sonido en vivo es hoy un gran desafío,porque socialmente,los lugares y ámbitos en donde se ejecuta este noble instrumento,distan de tener similitud con los ambientes íntimos que otrora,propiciaba por ejemplo Francisco Tárrega,
Los materiales de construcción de los nuevos ámbitos,revestimientos,pisos,techos,aberturas,superficies vidriadas,tipos de escenarios,etc,,nos obligan a agudizar nuestro ingenio para mantener la esencia.A pesar de todo,la guitarra....sigue siendo guitarra y por eso la homenajeamos desde este espacio.

Augusto Di Tella,nació en Buenos Aires.Cursó estudios musicales junto a Marisa Marenco,Floreal Vallespir Peyrón,Tsvetan Sadev,Elena Proietto,y junto a su padre,Augusto Guillermo Di Tella.
Su formación es clásica,pero aborda repertorios de la música popular contemporanea.
Como puede apreciarse,este espacio está íntimamente vinculado a la guitarra.
Definida por Cristian Seguret,como el más democrático de los instrumentos,ella ha evolucionado desde sus lejanos orígenes hasta nuestros días.Atrás quedó su llegada desde Europa a los distintos puertos americanos.
Ellos la albegaron y paulatinamente,fue comprendiendo nuevas historias,luchas,amores,desamores.Siempre íntima.Siempre vigente.
Ella adoptó distintas anatomías.supo estar en manos de campesinos,aristócratas,gitanos,gentes de los suburbios.
En los conservatorios,no era vista con buenos ojos.
mientras tanto,los constructores se esforzaban por mejorar su estética y sonoridad.
Fue Torres,quien por 1860,diseñando instrumentos para Francisco Tárrega,le concedió su actual fisonomía.
A medida que ganó en sonoridad,las técnicas de ejecución y los repertorios,ganaron en diversidad y complejidad.
Los Siglos XIX y XX, fueron testigos de su máximo apogeo.
Y ya en manos de Andrés Segovia,los grandes compositores se rindieron a sus pies.PARA DON ANDRÉS,LA GUITARRA ES UNA ORQUESTA OBSERVADA CON PRISMÁTICOS AL REVÉS.
De allí en más ,se desdibujaron las fronteras entre los repertorios considerados populares y los aparentemente más cultos.
Ella sigue creciendo.Nosotros,seguimos necesitándola,y así las cosas,esta comunión hombre-instrumento,sigue funcionando cada vez mejor.
Al decir de nuestro querido Vinicius de Moraes,puede afirmarse que es el único instrumento capaz de escuchar y entender a la luna.

ALGUNAS CULTURAS INMIGRATORIAS EN BUENOS AIRES:
Entre los años 1860 y 1930,la Argentina tuvo un importante crecimiento
cuali cuantitativo,provocado por innumerables corrientes inmigratorias.
Mientras en 1869,nuestra población era de 1.200.000 habitantes,hacia 1930,la misma había crecido hasta 12.000.000 de habitantes.
Esta situación generó cambios en la costumbres,modos y estructura social,así como también,nutrió con nuevos aportes,las raíces culturales de nuestra población.
Podríamos mencionar innumerables casos,pero entre tantos vale como ejemplo,laAsociación Cutural José Verdi.
Templo de la música y escenario de grandes actos políticos, la Sociedad Cosmopolita Filarmónica y de Socorros Mutuos José Verdi es una emblemática institución boquense creada en 1878 y ubicada en Almirante Brown 736.
Conocida popularmente como "la Verdi", nació por la fuerza del trabajo y del arte, dos rasgos enriquecidos por el aporte inmigratorio, en particular los provenientes de la península itálica.
"Fundar una sociedad musical que tuviera por objeto la organización de una banda compuesta exclusivamente de socios dilectantes", expresa el acta número 1, del 5 de febrero de 1878, y agrega, en función de sus propósitos: pero también la organización de coros y orquestas".
El Teatro Verdi ,fue en sus primeras épocas,un faro luminoso de la cultura en el sur de la ciudad.
El edificio del Teatro Verdi es uno de los de La Boca que atesora el legado arquitectónico de los inmigrantes italianos. Allí alguna vez cantaron Carlos Gardel,Enrico Caruso y Benniamino Gigli.Alfredo Palacios,además,supo colmar sus instalaciones.
En 1931, el crecimiento del Club Boca Juniors en el fútbol amateur llevó a que una asamblea plenaria, en un salón del Teatro Verdi, tomara la decisión de levantar un nuevo estadio, que fue más tarde la Bombonera.(fuente clarín digital 6-10-09).
La "Verdi",fue también testigo de luchas gremiales.
Soportó junto a su gente,las diversas crisis económicas que los argentinos supimos conseguir.....y a pesar de todo,sigue de pié.Albergando sueños,utopías,arte y eperanzas.Como alguna vez lo hubiera querido,Don Benito Quinquela Martín.Pintor entre pintores.Soñador.Filántropo.
Hombre de bien .Artista incomparable.
Entonces,sirva como proyección en el tiempo,y como fiel expresión de esa filosofía,el CICLO CULTURAL MUSICALIDAD,que desde abril del 2009,sigue desarrollándose,con el mismo ímpetu,y con las mismas energías ,que alguna vez,convergieron en la querida "Verdi".....en los prolegómenos de la nueva aldea.Pero aquí y ahora.....promediando la posmodernidad. Con el corazón al Sur......y........ la mirada hacia el mañana.

ALGUNOS DATOS INTERESANTES SOBRE LOS IRLANDESES EN ARGENTINA:
Hoy sus descendientes, suman unas 500.000 personas y preservan un legado cultural que se remonta a los celtas.
La mayoría embarcaba para Estados Unidos o Australia. Pero fueron muchos los hijos de la Isla Esmeralda que arribaron a estas costas entre 1840 y 1890: la Argentina es el país de habla no inglesa que más descendientes de irlandeses tiene, y el quinto en todo el mundo.
Los primeros irlandeses en llegar al Río de la Plata fueron Juan y Tomás Farrell, que vinieron con Pedro de Mendoza, en 1536.
Guillermo Brown, fundador de la Armada Argentina, nació en Foxford, Irlanda, en 1777, y murió en Buenos Aires en 1857.
Fueron descendientes de irlandeses Domingo French, Camila O’Gorman, Dalmacio Vélez Sarsfield y Cecilia Grierson
"Ya en los años 50 el padre Fidelis Rush y el asturiano Manolo del Campo organizaban festivales de música y baile celta, pero en el 85 se hizo el Primer Encuentro Pan Celta en el Club Fahy", recuerda Susana Shanahan, periodista y conductora del Plum Pudding (por el budín de ciruela con whisky, plato típico irlandés), un programa de radio que gira, obviamente, alrededor de la cultura celta. "Este auge era un eco de lo que pasaba en el mundo, donde The Chieftains, U2, Clannad o Enya ganaban grandes audiencias."
Se entiende que la música haya sido, para los irlandeses, una forma de fortalecer su identidad tras la Independencia, en 1949.
Este boom musical también atrajo a los jóvenes hacia los antiguos bailes celtas.Cuenta Christine Rasmussen, profesora de danzas tradicionales irlandesas y autora del libro La danza celta de Irlanda. Ella viajó a la Isla Esmeralda y allí aprendió jig, reel y otros pasos de más de 250 años que luego, de vuelta en la Argentina, enseñó en colegios de la comunidad.
