About me:
Aural Fixation ran for four years (2004-2008) on 88.1 WBGU-fm in Bowling Green, OH. Rev. Beastly was given a great foundation for being a top-notch college radio DJ during his time there. The show is currently airing on 88.3 WRCT in Pittsburgh! And if you're not in the area, you can most certainly tune in online. You can do so every Monday, from 2pm-4pm.
On the show, you'll tend to hear largely new wave music, but also some real punk, bizarro rock, early 90s alternative, and new music from the few bands actually producing good new music.
Every week, Rev. Beastly will try to remember to post the playlist in a blog here on this MySpace, so if you have any favorites, you'll be able to check what the song was, who performed it and what album it's on. Failing that, you can always find previous playlists on the show's page on WRCT.org.
If you'd like to play a part in the playlist, request a song! Local: 412.621.WRCT (9728) On CMU Campus: 8.WRCT (9728) AIM Screenname wrct883
Who I'd like to meet: People who enjoy the finer things in life (i.e. the music on this show).
If you're a musician and you'd like your stuff on the show, or wanna do an interview or something, just send a message to this MySpace or to reverendbeastly@gmail.com.
Thanks for the add. Leave us a comment and let us know what you think. Download "Black" and "Mamma Said Knock You Out" on iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Amazon and any other major digital download sites. Search MP3's for Sleeper-Cell. Yes, you need the dash. Comming soon, "What Would You Do" was recently recorded in Atlanta, GA with legendary producer Sam Knox. We will also be shooting a video for MTV for this one.
THERE ARE GENERALLY TWO DIFFERENT STYLES OF BADITUDE SONGS: MOTIVATIONAL AND ASS-KICKING. BUT SOMETIMES, THESE TWO STYLES COMBINE INTO ONE. AND OTHER TIMES, A BADITUDE SONG STRAYS FROM BOTH STYLES. SO PERHAPS A REPRESENTATIVE FROM EACH OF THE TWO STYLES CAN BE CHOSEN?
