Right now I'm really into anime. Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Cat, Inuyasha, Fruits Basket, Cowboy Bebop, Noir, Mermaid's forest, Kenshin, to name a few. I watch it while I work - it's simple enough that I don't have to keep my eyes on it, and I love the complexities of plot and character.

Anything by Anne Rice (Vampire series especially), Anita Blake series, Harry Potter, Earth's Children series by Jean Auel, Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series.
