UPDATE (OCTOBER "2008")
Death Aura is seeking for artists and bands/projects to participate in a Doom / Black compilation that will be self-funded and released by WS. If anyone is interested, contact WS at voai@lycos.com with a brief bio of the project and an mp3 or sample of the track they want to submit.
This is a serious release, which Death Aura will participate in, with a brand new track.
Additionally, I am both happy and sad to announce that preliminary attempts to work on the second demo yielded results, but I decided to take the material written over to Tomb Of...'s EP (...The Death Visor) because, simply put, it fit better with that material and less so as a Death Aura song. Sorry, but look forward to it on the new EP by Tomb Of...! I promise it will be killer...
UPDATE (SEPTEMBER "2008")
I am in the sad position to announce that Death Aura might even disband without ever releasing anything else. If that is to be the case, the only thing planned for release is a small demo version of an early form of a song from the planned second demo, which was recorded back in 2007.
The reasons behind this are complicated, but let's just say that in my opinion, if I can't make the second demo better than the first, there is no reason to make it at all. In addition, time constraints and severe life problems are further hindering any truthful progress made.
I have not entirely given up on it, but currently things are bleak. If the demo does happen, it might probably be the last, and the trilogy left incomplete. I am sorry for spreading such bad news after so many people got so excited about the second demo. I hope you understand and ask yourselves this simple question:
Would you rather have a realese not worthy of the name of Death Aura, or see the project die in a brave and prideful manner?
I think everyone would answer the second. So, if that is to be the end of Death Aura, I am proud to have been part of this vessel through pain and darkness, and I hope that people used it to find light in the darkness.
