Greetings,
i felt it's time to update you all, give you a glimpse at what has been happening in camp A-Stripe in 2008. after playing a few shows this year, we took time out to write new material but our hearts just weren't into writing the indie-pop that we had become known for. we sort of felt pressured to write more of this and it became apparent that this is not the sort of music we wanted to be writing. We went our own ways for a little while, barely talking at times.
Recently we learnt that Steve had moved away to be closer to work and is doing well with that so all the best to him. Dan, Anna and myself began talking again and decided we wanted to get a new project going, something different to what we have done before. we got together and wrote a few tracks which we were really happy with and so think we have found a new drummer and are going to spend the summer rehearsing and recording demos.
We all feel that we have out-grown Aurora Stripe now and so will probably not be playing any more full-band shows under this name - (at least for a while)
I will however be doing DJ sets under the name, maybe even dropping a few of our old songs from time to time, just to keep the old fans happy. If you fancy a night out to have a drink and a dance to some Aurora Stripe then please keep checking back to see where i'l be DJing and come by to say 'Hi!'.
Due to a new direction and line-up, we feel it's time for a fresh start and will probably be chosing a different name for the new project. (If you have any idea's for names then feel free to leave us a message!) I look forward to announcing more information about our future projects however we are keeping things a lot tighter under wraps so you will just have to be patient and see what exciting things we have got in store for you.

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

many a time i hav seen this band and i know most of them very well and think they are one of the best bands i hav heard in a long time, but its a pity that they went there own ways and wish them good luck in the future and not too forget ur fave groupie good luck guys jesus
