About me:
My earliest memory is the day I turned five. My mom brought out a pillowcase filled with presents, and when she turned it upsidedown and shook it, it looked like a million gifts spilled out, an endless river of amazing things. There were probably really only five or six presents total, but to me it looked like the happiness would never end.
Now when I write, I always try to think of my pen being like that pillowcase -- holding an infinite stream of perfect words, each more exciting and brightly wrapped than the one before it. Sometimes it works, and writing's the greatest thing in the world. But usually it doesn't work, and then instead of getting any jokes down on the page, I just sit there in a gloomy cloud of procrastination, wondering why no one ever gives me presents anymore.
