Aus Music was created in early 2006 by Simple Records founder Will Saul and Ninja Tune artist Fink. The label focuses on the more experimental side of house / techno / disco / electro / dub. The core artists on the label are Sideshow (Fink's alter ego), Lee Jones (signed to Playhouse as My My and also recording as Hefner), Sian and Will Saul. Motorcitysoul have just moved home to our big brother label Simple Records but have released two sublime house singles with us. The remixes we commission are be aimed at the deeper end of the dancefloor spectrum with John Tejada, Jerome Sydenham, Jesse Rose, Prins Thomas, Efdemin and Recloose all contributing their own unique takes on our artists original productions. We're excited to announce that we've got LP's coming later this year from Lee Jones and Sideshow. Expect them to drop in Oct / Nov of 2008.

The qualities that unite the different styles on Aus are detail, musicality, lush melody, an irresistible groove and a healthy dose of dub. The original music doesn't have to work on a peak time dancefloor or even in a club at all. The only pre-requisite for getting signed is that it's music that Will and Fin(k) have to love and believe in - and we hope that you will too.

Word and Sound in Germany distribute Aus Music ; www.wordandsound.net, and design supremo Mike Place has created the visual identity for the label www.designbybuild.com. We share a website with Simple Records: www.simplerecords.co.uk You can find out more about the artists, listen to DJ mixes and buy (downloads only) all our releases at least a month before they are available to download anywhere else.
