About me:

I've been holding down the bottom end in various bands around Australia and Indonesia for more than 25 years. I'm self taught, having started out on guitar as a teenager before making the move to bass after I realized it was louder and could cause objects to fall off shelves.

The music player on this page features live and studio recordings on which I'm playing bass with various bands, as does the video player further down the page.

I've played in all kinds of rock, blues and pop bands over the years, as well as in tribute shows and musical theatre, and during that time I've performed everywhere from pubs to clubs, corporate functions, outdoor festivals, weddings, street parades, art galleries, museums, adult entertainment venues and biker clubhouses.

I play Musicman basses, as well as various Fender-style basses, including a few custom built by Bill Nash and Alan Knight, a vintage Tokai P-bass copy, and a Gibson SG reissue, through Alembic, QSC, Markbass and SWR amplification. I prefer Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats and D'Addario Chromes strings.

I am an endorsed artist for innovative new Australian effects pedal manufacturer Cave Passive Pedals

At the moment I am playing with Richard Madden, a very talented guitarist and songwriter, as well as performing in club tribute shows "Summer Nights" (Grease) and "Summer Fever" (70s disco tunes), party/dance cover band "How Bizarre", and "Rolling Stoned", a new Rolling Stones tribute band. Since returning to Sydney to live in 2007 I've also gigged with "Wish You Were Here - the Floydian Rock Experience", and filled in with Christina Crofts' band, and The Red Kings.
