Austin Grill has now added an even bigger slice of the city it was named for with the addition of a LIVE MUSIC STAGE featuring the areas best local talent as well as national touring singer-songwriters and bands. Creating a venue for local artists doing original work was the brainchild of Chris Patterson, Austin Grill’s President and COO. Chris, a musician himself (Leaving Texas) has made a very welcome space for both the guests at the Grill and the musicians themselves. Musicians If you’d like to be considered for a “gig” at the Grill, please drop off a press kit to the restaurant or you may mail a package. It is with a heavy heart that I annouce Austin Grill Baltimore has lost John Moomau as its general manager. As many or most of you know, it was John's passion for live music that helped shape Austin Grill into the venue that it has become. We wish John all the best in his next step in life.
Musicians never fear! We are as commited as ever to continuing to build live music at the Baltimore venue. I, Steve Schadler, will be taking up where John left off with the live music bookings. We look forward to all the gigs that John has booked and working with all the local musicians to get them booked again. Since the opening of the Rockville location I've been booking the music for that store and look forward to booking music in Baltimore as well.
Many of you may remember and recognize me as I was one of the managers at this location for the past few years. I look forward to my return in this new capacity, and to meeting all of you if I havn't already.
You can reach me through this myspace page, or through my e-mail StephenS@austingrill.com
Here's to a bright future as a Baltimore music venue! Steve
