Since I’m a drummer, I have the great fortune of playing with many musicians and bands! To name a few, the Quartet of Happiness, Jason Palmer, Joe Davidian, Landon Knoblock, Daniel Kinzelman, Joseph Rehmer, Carmen Staaf, Kenji Shinagawa, Pavel Rivera, Vardan Ovsepian, Rich Greenblatt, Plamen Karadonev, Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra & George Garzone, Lea Delaria, etc...
Influences
Every time I hear music I try to learn something from it. Of course, I have my favorites that I always come back to...Theo Bleckmann, John Hollenbeck, Hanne Hukkelberg, Susanne Abbuehl, Louis Sclavis, John Scofield, Keith Jarrett, Thelonious Monk, Chris Potter, Caetano Veloso, Jorge Drexler, Maria Joao, Drummers: Roy Haynes, Philly Joe Jones, Jimmy Cobb, Billy Higgins!, Elvin Jones, Eric Gravatt, Jack DeJohnette, Tony Williams, Idris Muhammad, Jon Christensen, Paul Motian, Jeff Hamilton, Eliot Zigmund, Peter Erskine, Jeff Ballard, Bill Stewart, Brian Blade, and everything I hear!

In March 2004, I had the pleasure of performing at Carnegie Hall along with a creative music ensemble, the Music Lover's Club. Before this performance took place, the group spent a week in workshop format under the guidance of Rufus Reid, Terrell Stafford, Justin DiCioccio and David Liebman. This was a great honor and acted as a reunion for me since I had performed with Rufus Reid and the New York Voices at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in 1998 and had developed a relationship with David Leibman during his regular visits to south Florida.
While pursuing a Master's degree in Jazz Performance, I held a two-year residency with the acclaimed University of Miami Concert Jazz Band during which time David Leibman, Joe Lovano, Carmen Lundy, Jim McNeely and James Moody, among others were featured soloists with the band. The rhythm section of the big band, comprised of Joe Davidian (piano) and Jamie Ousley (bass) continues to perform as a trio with our credentials including opening concerts for vocalists, Jane Monheit and Dianne Reeves.
Internationally, I was invited to attend the 14th I.A.S.J. conference held in Germany in 2004 (May 30-June 5), which led to performances in Finland, Switzerland and France as well as a brief stay in Barcelona, Spain. In July of 2005 I attended the Aspen Music Festival (Colorado) with Argentine vocalist Sofia Koutsovitis and her group.
