OUR COACHES!!!! Our Coaches are our heroes. They spend hours outside of practice getting plans together, and they always show up ready to lead us. They keep us engaged, they keep us moving, and they help us stay motivated. They really take care of us!! HERE'S TO OUR HEROES!!
The Austin Outlaws are members of the National Womens Football Association (NWFA) and the only womens football team in Austin. The NWFA is the largest full-contact women's football league in the world with more than 40 teams nationwide. The 2007 season runs from April 14th and will end on July 21st with a championship game in Nashville, TN. To get to the playoffs, the Outlaws will battle rival teams in the Oklahoma City Lightning, Pensacola Power, and Dallas Rage as well as two new opponents in the Gulf Coast Herricanes.

UIL BAN LIFTED – OUTLAWS (2-0) AT WESTLAKE CHAPARREL STADIUM FOR HOME OPENER AGAINST MUSTANGS (1-1)
Due to the UIL ban being lifted, the Austin Outlaws Women’s Football Team will now be playing at their original home game venue, Chaparral Stadium at Westlake High School. The Outlaws had arranged a secondary location in Georgetown, TX as a result of the UIL mandate to close all schools. Chaparral Stadium is located at 4100 Westbank Drive in Austin, TX. Kickoff is at 6:30pm.
The Outlaws return home with a 2-0 record obtained by closely fought battles with the 2008 NWFA defending champion H’Town Cyclones (40-34 win in Game 1) and the Lone Star Mustangs out of Ft. Worth (14-13 win in Game 2). This Saturday’s game will be a rematch with the Lone Star Mustangs.
The revamped Outlaw offense has been successful so far both in points scored and time of possession. The Outlaws enter this game averaging 9.7 yards on each carry and 333 rushing yards per game, with RB Shadana Hurd accounting for over half of the Outlaw yardage on the ground.
The Outlaw “darkside” defense is proving to be a force to reckon with, led by experienced linebacker Chenelle “Soho” Tillman-Brooks who boasting 21 tackles and 3 sacks. She is followed closely by DT Nicolette Arceneaux and DB Amber Lyons.
The Outlaws are members of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA), and are the only women’s football team in Austin. The WFA is the largest full-contact women's football league in the world with 37 teams nationwide. The Outlaws play in the Southwest Division of the American Conference and battle rival teams such as the H’Town Texas Cyclones (Houston), Lone Star Mustangs (Ft. Worth) and East Texas Saberkats (Longview/Marshall). The team’s last playoff run was in the 2006 season.
