About me:
So what’s a Pub Quiz?
When you come to a Pub Quiz hosted by Pop Quiz Austin you can expect a lot of things. First you’re gonna have fun. Second, you’re gonna feel extremely smart one minute and extremely dumb the next, sometimes both when you realize that you actually know the names of Brittany Spears’ kids.
The way it works is simple, you bring some of your best friends preferably ones that aren’t too dumb, enjoy drinking and having a good time. When you show up, grab a packet of eight answer sheets that you’ll be filling in throughout the night. Our rounds are simple, fun, and spread across the spectrum. As always we’ll have a round of movie lines, 2 nerd rounds (science, geography, history, etc) a grab bag (random stuff), a tv round, another round of movie questions, and finally two name that tune rounds (one regular and one tv theme songs / movie soundtracks). At the end of each round you simply turn in the paper to our grader and wait for the answers. At the end of the night that usually runs about two and a half hours, we’ll tally up the rounds give out the bonus points for best team name (funny and topical always works) and declare a winner. The prizes vary from joint to joint but typically you’re looking at a gift certificate for the first, second and third place teams. Win or loose, you’ll have a blast, and chances are we’ll see ya back the next week to try it all over again.
