Rock(Led Zepplin, Moody Blues, Melissa Etheridge), blues(Muddy Waters,Ray Charles, The Blues Project), country(Paul Brandt, Shania Twain), folk(Steeleye Span),just about anything except jazz(the freeform kind - like the bluesy kind) and rap. And I like ones like Dr. Hook, Dr. John, Pearls Before Swine, Dead Can Dance, etc.
Movies
Fantasy, Sci-fi, costume dramas(a big thank you to Kenneth Branagh for those gorgeous Shakespeare films), action, and an assortment of movies so bad they're good.
Television
Bones, House, The Daily Show, Anderson Cooper and Lou Dobbs on CNN, Doctor Who, The Dresden Files and those true crime shows like Cold Case
Books
Anything. Romance - mostly historical and paranormal, some fantasy, dictionaries(hey, I'm a writer - I'm fascinated with words and especially when we started to use them), Shakespeare
Heroes
Have to think about that one a little more - there are so many choices. Susan B. Anthony comes to mind for one
About me: Since Amber Flame, her first historical romance, was released in February 1988, she has published over 35 novels and short stories, with more on the way. Her writing has been repeatedly recognized for its excellence and has made New York Times, USA Today and Waldenbooks Romance Bestseller. She has received multiple nominations and awards for her writing over the years.
Hannah was born and raised in Massachusetts (the maternal side of her family has been there since the 1630's). She has been married to her husband Stephen for 36 years, who she met in England while visiting relatives, and decided to import him. They have two sons Samuel and Keir, daughter-in-law Beth and two beautiful grandchildren Benjamin and Jennifer.
Who I'd like to meet: Shakespeare - to get the truth as I'm tired of so many people thinking he didn't write those beautiful plays and sonnets -and (apparantly) mostly because he wasn't one of the aristocracy. Christopher Marlowe - to find out who the heck killed him.
The Gateway
by Alec Derwent Hope
Now the heart sings with all its thousand voices
To hear this city of cells, my body, sing.
The tree through the stiff clay at long last forces
Its thin strong roots and taps the secret spring.
And the sweet waters without intermission
Climb to the tips of its green tenement;
The breasts have borne the grace of their possession,
The lips have felt the pressure of content.
Here I come home: in this expected country
They know my name and speak it with delight.
I am the dream and you my gates of entry,
The means by which I waken into light
I love your new song! I had it as my husband's ring tone on my phone.... of course, he then called me during a meeting at work!! Thank's for the reminder. I can laugh about it now. :)
WoW !!! That vid clip is amazing. I can't wait to get the book. You are one of my top faves. I think I have almost all your books now...still missing some. Hard to finds and all that. Mom got me started reading your series, and I havn't stopped since. Totally feel you on having to put those books on the bookshelf...problem for me...not enough book shelf. Need a new one...or maybe just a really big one...can't put em where I can't get to them though....I love to re-read. If he's wicked looks like an awesome read. Can't wait. Best wishes to you and yours...and good luck getting your grand-daughter to bend those knees. LOL
