I listen to just about everything but while writing, my muse loves alternative rock/metal. Favorite bands sort of depends on the characters but include Creed, Three Doors Down, Godsmack, Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, and about a hundred others.
Movies
For me movies are an escape the same as books and television. I tend to have my favorites and would usually rather watch them over again instead of risking wasting two hours on a new movie. I love paranormal and superhero movies. Have a ton of them on DVD including Hellboy, Spiderman I & II, Van Helsing, X-Men I,II,III, Lord of the Rings... and about all the vampy, wolfie, or disney I can get my hands on. :D
I actually don't have TV at my house. Most people think that sounds strange and I suppose it does. I do however have standing dates with my family to watch HOUSE, CSI, and Steelers Football every chance I can.
Books
Books, ahhh.... I LOVE THEM! I have been an avid read ever since I realizes those little chicken markings could tell a story. I will read about anything, but gravitate to fiction because of the ability to draw me out of real life. After all, I live real life, I don't want to relax in it. So my favorite genres tend to be sci-fi, paranormal, fantasy or any combination of the three, usually paired with romance, because I look for a happy ending. My current addiction is Paranormal Romance... I read it and I write it! My favorite authors include JR Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lynn Viehl, Katie MacAlister, Susan Sizemore, Christine Feehan, and oodles more.
