The Gap fire here is pretty much under control. It was first priority in the state of CA when it started because it was such a danger to so many homes. It was a frightening experience, with it burning so close to my home, but we're all safe and no homes have gone. It's burned farther away and more up into the mountains. Last I heard it was 55% contained. I'm sure it's way more by now.
I keep reading in the tabloids about Heather Locklear and her depression. I read today that she was in Hawaii filming Flirting With Forty (I'm assuming it's based on your book)! I loved that book and it'll be great to watch a movie version.
