| General | Music (I've played the piano since I was 10), pilates, cuddling with my pups, cold margaritas on hot summer days and Caribbean vacations. | | Music | I'm really loving my new MP3 player - I haven't had one yet, so this is a new toy for me. I know, I'm a little behind. I can't listen to music while I write, because I get totally distracted, so I got an adapter and I rock out in my car. I'm loving Pink's Funhouse, anything Nickleback, Tonic, Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride and Daughtry, along with some old classic favorites like Boston and Aerosmith. | | Movies | I'm finally over my Christmas binge - I was watching every holiday movie known to man over the holidays - some of my favorites include The Santa Clause, Elf, While You Were Sleeping and The Holiday. One movie I can't get enough of lately is Pride And Prejudice, the version with Keira Knightley - it's breathtaking! | | Television | I really lost interest in a lot of shows this year - too much going on in my own life - but I'm getting back into LOST. I love ELLEN - she's so funny, I can always count on her to make me laugh! And I'm into American Idol - I just love the beginning when they go from city to city. | | Books | Have you checked out Lara Adrian's Breedmate series? This series is amazing - if you're a paranormal/vampire fan, these are a must read. You don't have to start at the beginning, but I would suggest it - why not? The first one is Kiss of Midnight. I'm also loving Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series and can't wait to read her Darkfever series, too. I know, I'm way behind, but like every writer, our to be read piles are out of control! | | Heroes | I think I'm going to have to say the survivors of the US Airways flight that "landed" in the Hudson River. I know there was a lot of fear and chaos, but hey, under the circumstances, I think all of those people were amazing - and they all got out! It could have gone so wrong - but everyone seemed to do what they could to make sure they all were safe. Big hugs to the pilot, co-pilot and crew and all the rescuers that got out there in record time! Happy Freakin' New Year is right!! |

Happy New Year!
I don't know about you, but I sure am glad that 2008 is over. It was a rough one for me, but things are looking up and that's the great thing about down times. The only way to go is up! Speaking of 'ups' the wait is almost up for SEDUCER to hit the bookstore shelves. February 3rd is the official date, but you might get lucky and find it out a day or two early, so it won't hurt to look if you're out and about the last of January.
SEDUCER is my second historical novel with Kensington. It's set in pre-Revolutionary New England, Virginia and again on the high seas of the Atlantic Ocean. My hero is a privateer, before they were sanctioned by the government, so in a sense, he is a pirate. He certainly has some of those wild boy alpha traits women love to hate but can't resist!

I'm thrilled to announce that ROGUE has won a national award - the NJ RWA Golden Leaf 2008 for Best First Book! Woohoo! My very first big award and I couldn't be more excited. If you haven't had a chance to read it yet, pick it up and take it on vacation with you over the winter - somewhere nice and warm. You'll feel the Caribbean breezes in the book and for real! Wish I could go, too.
