About the Author

Sherry has always been drawn to the macabre. As a child, she and her brother would watch horror movies at every opportunity. At twelve, she began writing short stories. Shortly after that, she read her first horror novel, and it was love at first read! She knew she wanted to write her own novel someday, but figured she had plenty of time. That same “plenty of time” mentality also lingered past her teens and through her twenties, however. It wasn’t until Sherry was almost thirty that she realized she’d either have to start now—or resign herself to never doing it.

She chose the former. When she sat down to write her first novel, she knew it had to have her two favorite elements in it: urban fantasy (horror) and romance. Hence, her novels combine a myriad of genres including horror, family saga, gothic, and romance. Everyone has a favorite “what if they were real?” creature. For Sherry, it’s ghosts and vampires. She read everything by Anne Rice, V. C. Andrews, Dean Knootz, and Stephen King in her teens and her early twenties. You could say Sherry’s been hooked on the horror genre ever since.

Sherry lives in the California SF Bay Area with her two children and her black cat, Salem, who long ago accepted the fact that she is not a morning person, rarely cooks, and always sleeps in late on the weekends. Aside from writing, Sherry enjoys reading, poetry, shopping, watching movies with her children, exploring old cemeteries and victorian mansions, and hanging out in used bookstores.

Alarm clocks, marriage, and spiders are the only things that frighten her.
