Good lord...way too many to list! But I'll give it a try... Dead Can Dance, Trent Reznor, Poe, PJ Harvey, Sia, Gorillaz, Blur, Billie Holiday, The Pixies, Tori Amos, Marilyn Manson, Radiohead, The Clash, Olivia Newton-John, Nirvana, Mozart, The Shins, REM, David Bowie, The Cure, The Stones, Jane’s Addiction, U2, Vic Chestnut, Michael Hutchence, INXS, Chrome Moly-Violets, Duran Duran, Rob Zombie, Nick Cave, Madonna, Bauhaus, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Ozzy, Midnight Circus, Courtney Love, Iggy Pop, No Doubt, Bush, The Beatles, Korn, Lazy Lane, The Killers, Coldplay, Sublime, Ana Black, Vast, Sinisstar, Garbage, and Midnight Syndicate. Photobucket Music has always played a huge part in my writing. I honestly don’t think I could write without music. I used Michael Hutchence's "Possibilities" as sort of Darby's theme song. And a song by Midnight Circus called, "Temple of Temptation", which is really spooky, as Varton's theme. While writing Haunted Lily I found myself listening to certain songs in particular during different chapters. So I decided to name each chapter after the song I felt suited the feel of the chapter. Basically, if I put a song in the chapter, I was listening to that song while writing…sometimes over and over again. All through the writing I found myself listening to the brilliantly frightening and fabulous music of Midnight Syndicate, which my husband and I play at our Halloween parties, and on Halloween night as ambient music for our excited trick-or-treaters. Photobucket Here is a list of the songs and artists for each chapter. Death of a Party – Blur Vow - Garbage Threads – Vic Chestnut Tourniquet – Marilyn Manson Lullaby – The Cure Wish – Nine Inch Nails Everything Zen - Bush There is a light – Nick Cave Fixing a hole – the Beatles Exit music for a film - Radiohead Spark – Tori Amos Spider webs – No Doubt The Passenger – Michael Hutchence Sawdust in the blood – Rob Zombie Sympathy for the devil – Rolling Stones Someone to die for – Belly Season of the hollow soul – K.D. Lang Possibilities – Michael Hutchence Precious Things - Tori Amos By My Side – INXS Gardening at Night – REM Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

About me:

I just want to thank all the amazing cool people who have written to me about "Haunted Lily"! I have heard from people in Australia, Finland, Italy, and my home...the beautiful United States. I am truly honored to have you all as friends...and thank you for your support! xoxo Sidney Photobucket About The Author - Sidney Fox was born in Buffalo, New York, where a love for movies, music, and "all-things spooky" flourished. Moving with her family to the lush southern city of Atlanta, Georgia, when she was twelve, she experienced a “life-changing” event...a surprise meeting with the spirit of Civil War soldier. From that moment on a life-long interest in the paranormal began. Photobucket During her teens, Sidney sang in a band and dabbled in acting. After high school she briefly worked at a psychiatric hospital before deciding to pursue acting seriously, and headed to New York to study at the Studio Arena Theatre. Missing the south she moved back to Georgia to the funky college town of Athens to live with a friend who needed a singer for a new band; The Whirligigs. She found herself living in an old house of the "haunted" variety...and her fascination with ghosts grew. Photobucket After a near-death experience courtesy of a drunk driver, her priorities changed, as did her life. She made the decision to move to Los Angeles to study film production and acting at UCLA. Her first job in Hollywood was giving tours of Paramount Pictures. During this time she wrote several screenplays and co-founded the writers group; DeMille’s Illegitimate Children. After doing voice-over work for Grammy winner Madonna, she began writing articles and interviews for the legendary singers ICON Magazine. Photobucket Sidney and her future husband, Douglas, moved into a house in North Hollywood, which not surprisingly, was still inhabited by its "long-dead" owner. It was at this time she decided to heed the old adage, write what you know, and always loving a good ghost story, came up with the idea for her supernatural tale, HAUNTED LILY, her first novel. Photobucket Currently, the author lives with her husband, son and dogs, where they are known as “the Halloween people” for their annual Halloween extravaganzas.

HEY! How are you? It's been a while so I thought I'd drop you a hallo and see what's been going on.

I hope you're doing well! We just had the weather demon dump snow on us so I'm none to pleased about that. I contacted Kerry Kate about the cover doll and she's actually looking into having more made so I'll be very excited to snatch one up when they come out.

Well...I better get back to work...six more weeks of it and then I'm off to cross the country again.

    :)
