Sounds Like
Everybody and nobody! We always try to put our own stamp on the covers we do, and then on our original material, our influences show thru, but become our own. Ya dig?

Author Unknown was formed in the summer of 1997 by Justin Kausal-Hayes and a few friends who wanted to play the songs that had inspired them to play music. They all shared a common love of blues and rock and eclectic folk tastes. The band has gone through a few changes over the years with the current lineup having been together since 2004. The motivation however remains the same: play the music that inspired us to play music. This approach seems to be working, the band has become one of the most popular on the local circuit of blues clubs, irish pubs, and casinos. In 2006 Author Unknown was nominated for “Best New Band” by the Washington Blues Society. The band consists of Justin Kausal-Hayes - lead and rhythm guitar and lead vocals; Jon Sleight - Bass and backing vocals; Andrew Cloutier - Drums and vocals; Scott E. Lind - Lead and Rhythm guitar and vocals. With a catalog of hundreds of songs, and no set lists an Author Unknown show is different every night. The songs are always inspired and tailored to each individual crowd. The consistent thing is superior musicianship, an obvious passion for the music, and the desire to keep everybody enjoying the evening from the first song to the last.
