i always thought that the english term bus comes from the latin word omnibus, the ablative plural of omnis meaning "for all," but in my travels i've come to understand that though i m certain the word comes from the ablative (or dative) plural ending to SOME word, the information i received in latin class may have been faulty, or theoretical. even so, if it is the case that prefixes added to "bus" are a paradoxical addition to an essentially meaningless suffix, i won't hold it against you, or the latin american countries that decided it's ok to decline a greek prefix with latin grammar and call it a functional word. and i m not talking about "microbus," either. oh and also, noah's band of sickos has new tunes up. i hope you guys took your nearest "collectivo" out to see them!
