About me:
I'm the webmaster and marketing director for Syd's Eastside Auto Salvage, Inc., and I run the Syd's Eastside Auto Salvage, Automotive Parts, Used Cars, Trucks & Rebuildable Vehicles website, the Diesel Rebuild Parts website, the Automotive SEARCH Network website, the Automotive SEARCH Directory website and the Yankton Regional Shopping, Tourism & Business Listings directory.
I actually work out of my home in Sioux Falls, but I had driven down to Yankton every day I worked (150 miles), about 4 days a week. Now I am iCommuting, as I can do all the same work faster and easier using my own PC which is loaded with the professional tools for web & graphic design, which the computer at work doesn't even have the strength to run (its just too old).
The best part about iCommuting is that I am not only saving money on gas, I am helping us use less. Of course, it does make it sort of hard to communicate, but I have also grabbed a magicJack and can call long distance for free (in the USA). So that is also helping out quite a bit.
I originally started as the web designer for Syd's Eastside Auto Salvage, Inc., and after finishing the website found myself without any new work. So ever since then I have been employed by Syd's Eastside to continue maintaing, developing and promoting the website online. I really would like to do more local offline promotion, as well, but the owners don't seem to want to do this. I think simultaneous online and offline promotions are important and integral parts of any marketing strategy.
I also run my own web media, design, hostiong & promotion businesses, as well. A few that I run are Symbiotic Design, Domain Hostmaster, and HD Web Hosting.
