Autonomous I are a five piece band from Ireland who fuse rock, grunge, funk, metal, electronic, classical and folk sounds to form an interestingly schizophrenic, raucous yet melodic 'wall of sound' that reflects the five band members' (sometimes wildly) differing approaches to music making.
These musicians have been playing together for years in various combinations but finally settled on their current line up in the summer of 2007. Since then, they have been playing energetic sets all over the country never failing to arouse an audience with their unique brand of music. The band are constantly writing new material and developing their sound, never knowing which way they will turn next musically.
