Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that you still have my support and what you're trying to do here still has my support.
From the beginning you've been surrounded by people that were only out for themselves, who didn't see or truly believe in the idea that independent music should be about the music and not about the money. Not about million dollar record deals, not about individual egos that need to be inflated or about pocketbooks to be lined.
This project has been a long time in the making and as someone who has been with you since day one, I want to let you and anyone that reads your comments know that I'm still with you 100%. People have attacked, people have disbelieved and people have questioned your motives. But now, so close to fruition, I felt as though there needed to be a solid show of support. This is the big push, the eleventh hour, the bottom of the ninth, the two minute warning. Maybe even, The Final Countdown ;)
Don't let those that have lost faith and have fallen by the wayside keep AGP from going in the direction you want it. People have tried, and failed, to stop this from happening. They doubt the resolve of AGP and of the people that are and will continue to be involved in this project. They will realize, far too late, that they had the chance to be involved with the ground floor of not just a series of concerts, but a movement.
What Avalon represents is a fundamental change in how independent music is managed, promoted and showcased. Like anything that represents a change as wide reaching as this, people are bound to be resistant. AGP will overcome any obstacle placed in its path.
Let me just leave you with something written by a man much wiser than myself.
