| General | Apart from music, radio and recording. I don't walk or cycle as much as I would like, I enjoy nature, and would like two thirds of street lights to be turned off permanently and the rest go turn white and to go off late at night. Can you see the sky at night where you live? | | Music | Most! Bach, Beach Boys, Beatles, Cream, Corneilius, Cosmic Sausages, Ivor Cutler, Edward Elgar, Ember, Focus, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Katus, Jimi Hendrix, Mouse, Joni Mitchell, PinknRuby, Seize the Day, Sunreturn, Vivian Stanshall, The Tabbush Sisters, Martha Tilston, Mal Webb, Stevie Wonder, Pamela Wyn Shannon, Yes. to name a very few. | | Movies | Dead Poets Society, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Monty Python, Mel Brookes, Marx Brothers. Poetry et al: John Constable, Space Girl, Mindweed, Paradox, InterFerenc | | Television | More like Radio: Radio 4, Andy Kershaw, Late Junction, Mark Lamarr, Radio 2 Folk programme. Caithream Ciuil on BBC R n Gael. Ralph McLean on Radio Ulster TV: Natural History, Star Trek, Due South, The Prisoner | | Books | The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy (I never met Douglas Adams, he used to live in Stalbridge), books about cats (we have three) I love maps for some strange reason. Spike Milligan | | Heroes | Gordon Moore (my late father), Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King and Henry John "Harry" Patch (17 June 1898 – 25 July 2009)and all people who stand up for truth and injustice
Harry described war as the "calculated and condoned slaughter of human beings" and said that "war isn't worth one life." You rest with honour. We shall SHALL remember them, our brothers in arms. |

About me:
Hi we live in Templecombe in Somerset, with my son Jason and daughter Sarah. We have three cats now, Pele (The Bear), Tippy (a black cat with a white tip on her tail) and Spock (our first ginger kitten).
I have a passion for music, recording and radio. I have vast quantities of all of these.
I have been presenting radio programmes on Radio Avalon at Glastonbury from 1985, and we have started Green Radio (2003) at the Big Green Gathering. Our studios at the BGG is wholly run on sustainable energy and part of Radio Avalon is as well. I have made many recordings of live music mostly at the more eclectic venues: The Small World Solar Stage, Tadpole and Mandala stages as well as the Speakers Forum (Tony Benn, Jonathan Cainer, Mark Thomas), at the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms, Kingston Green Fair to name a few. The Vagina Monologues at the Assembly Rooms were brilliant, thanks Loo. Thanks to Sam and Jean for the Ragley experience.

Who I'd like to meet:
Interesting people who are into greener festivals (where I do really feel at home) and all sorts of interesting music off the beaten track.
