GeneralApart from music, radio and recording. I don't walk or cycle as much as I would like, I enjoy nature, and would like two thirds of street lights to be turned off permanently and the rest go turn white and to go off late at night. Can you see the sky at night where you live?

About me:
Hi we live in Templecombe in Somerset, with my son Jason and daughter Sarah. We have three cats now, Pele (The Bear), Tippy (a black cat with a white tip on her tail) and Spock (our first ginger kitten). I have a passion for music, recording and radio. I have vast quantities of all of these. I have been presenting radio programmes on Radio Avalon at Glastonbury from 1985, and we have started Green Radio (2003) at the Big Green Gathering. Our studios at the BGG is wholly run on sustainable energy and part of Radio Avalon is as well. I have made many recordings of live music mostly at the more eclectic venues: The Small World Solar Stage, Tadpole and Mandala stages as well as the Speakers Forum (Tony Benn, Jonathan Cainer, Mark Thomas), at the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms, Kingston Green Fair to name a few. The Vagina Monologues at the Assembly Rooms were brilliant, thanks Loo. Thanks to Sam and Jean for the Ragley experience.
Who I'd like to meet:
Interesting people who are into greener festivals (where I do really feel at home) and all sorts of interesting music off the beaten track.

Hi, John!  It's been a while since we came by your page but we promised to let you know when our album was released - it has been so we are!  We'd love it if you took a listen to the clips on our page or our website and let us know what you think: http://www.ourmissingcat.co.uk
(By the way, we wholeheartedly agree with your comments about light pollution, and if it's bad down in Somerset then spare a thought for us poor souls close to London who have to observe through orange soup!)

Take care

Us x

Hi John

Good to hear from you - I hope all your radio stuff's going well. I'm running an RSL in Roehampton mid-August, so I need to talk to you about future plans for Kingston radio if there's more of that to come.
