About me:
The mission of Avalou Theatre is to create daring, innovative live theatre with an emphasis on the actor as creative artist. Avalou is committed to the following: intelligent and original interpretation of the classics, seeking out and nurturing the work of brilliant new artists and bringing theatre to diverse and unique audiences. Avalou seeks to create theatre in unlikely places using non-traditional means, often through unexpected interaction with our audience. Avalou is an eclectic theatre, meaning we choose our material based solely on its ability to inspire us, regardless of genre or period.

Avalou Theatre Company is seeking original plays for its 2006 season. If you have written a play of any length, in any genre, and would like to see it produced with your creative input, send us a message. As the playwright you will retain all rights to your work.

Who I'd like to meet:
Avalou Theatre Company is actively seeking actors, writers, light and sound designers, visual artists, costumers, stage managers and other theatre folk who want to be part of a bold new theatrical enterprise.
If you're interested primarily in ACTING please send me a message with your first and last name, age, ethnicity, height, hair and eye color, city, zip code, daytime phone number (specify home, work or cell), e-mail address and any special skills. If you wish you may list up to two other areas you might be interested in - sound, lighting, set design, makeup, costuming, writing, whatever. All this information will be placed in a database so you can be kept abreast of Avalou current events - specifically audition details.
If you're interested mostly in a non-performance involvement with Avalou, please send your first and last name, city, zip code, daytime phone number (specify home, work or cell), e-mail address and three primary areas of interest, including any special skills (Japanese calligraphy, hot-wiring cars, whatever). This information will be entered in a database and used to contact you about your possible involvement.
