-Avant GARism is a reoccurring, underground visual and auditory event featuring live performances of multiple musical genres. Avant GARism has the honorable & culturally crucial task of showcasing some of the brightest independent Musicians, Visual Performers, & Video aRtists from the Southeastern US and greater "FLowerda".
So who locates the talent and coordinates these wondrous festivities up?? You guessed it baby... Gar Bailey aka alGARhythm -With an uncanny knowledge from years in and on the scene & with impeccably fly taste.. the man who is opening a few doors to the contemporary underground with every AG event that gets held is a 33 year old Orlando native. Himself a master of multiple mediums, ie: painting, assemblage, countless musical projects, & now a small record label even. Gar is one of the harder working artists you will ever meet. His love for music and arts also extends to all his fellow musical & artistic brethren. This is why Avant GARism exists. So that thru each of our unique talents that we can facilitate some good things for all involved and help each other all while spreading our music even further than we could alone against the machine. Strength in numbers. Stripes on a tiger.
Gar has been using Avant GARism to help gather, combine, and expose the greater Central Floridian Meglotropolis to the massive breadth of musical & artistic talents in this area, state, and beyond for a few years now, but we've got hopes and aspirations to take it so much further, phatter, bigger, & better.
But we cannot do it alone.. Won't you join us??...
NOTE: *This celebration of existence through sight & sound is in the process of relocating and to start doing some events in Gainesville, Orlando, and hopefully other FL cities in 2009 & 2010. If you are an able-bodied & open-minded music or art venue, please consider Avant GARism and it's minions of creative musicians/artists. We will not disappoint.

Thank you so much for everything. Especially all the great memories. Maybe one day when you get back on your feet we could do it all again.
