80's, classic rock and disco, all genre's except gangster rap and heavy screaming metal :)The 2nd annual MAKE MUSIC NEW YORK is coming to Rego Park this June 21 2008 I'm looking for great bands to sign up!!
One day a year on the first day of summer the outside and inside of Sears will become a informal musical stage, dance floor, and social meeting place. Amateur musicians, in every genre, age, and language will be able to play on the sidewalk for the biggest crowd of their lives. Professional musicians will be able to attract new audiences, who will come out from under their headphones to hear unfamiliar groups risk-free. Everyone will be invited to sing along, dance, and enjoy the first day of summer for all New Yorkers, amateurs and professionals, to perform for friends, neighbors, and passers-by, turning the city into a festival of live, free music making!
Our event will be held as a partnership between Rego Park Group and Sears of Rego Park outside of their location on the intersection of Queens Blvd, 63rd Dr/Rd, and Junction Blvd, at the Rego Park Shopping Center in Rego Park, Queens from 6-9pm .

This Make Music concert is free and open to the public. Rego Park Group is a non-profit community group.
