Avatar se formó a mediados del 2004 con la intención de hacer algo distinto a los grupos en los que originalmente iniciaron sus miembros (Toxodeth, Deadly Dark & Black Vomit).
En el 2005 grabaron el disco ‘Fénix’, que interesó a nuestra actual compañía ‘Asenath Records’, y teniendo como carta de presentacion el festival mas importante de Latinoamérica ‘Monterrey Metal Fest II’, con la presentacion de grupos como Motörhead, WASP, Danzig, Mago de Oz, Metal Church, Hammerfall, etc. También ha actuando con grupos como Animal, Parasytic, Destruction y Arch Enemy.
Con la salida de Enrique (bajo), actualmente nuestro bajista es Reyes Amaro, quien participo en dos temas en el primer álbum de la banda. Nuestra mas reciente producción es el album ‘Icons’, el cual fue producido por Mario Altamirano (Rata Blanca y Animal) y masterizado en New York por Roger Lian quien masterizo el ya clasico South of Heaven de Slayer. Contando con una edición limitada de 300 cds de Ancient Cultures en un label independiente llamado No Christ Records además de la participación en el DVD Regio Metal Vol. 1.
A Finales del 2008 saldrá el DVD de la presentación del disco “Icons” el cual fue grabado en uno de los lugares mas importantes en México el Café Iguana de la cuidad de Monterrey…las influencias de la banda son Judas Priest, Venom, Carnivore, Metallica, Mercyful Fate, Slayer, Sepultura entre otras…
