Coming Soon..."CRY BABY: A GOOD, FIRM, MUSICAL SPANKING". The album which recieved a 1995 Grammy Award Nomination, will be re released, remastered, with bonus tracks. The CD will be available in two packages...either on it's own, or as part of a limited edition 6 CD Box Set containing every surviving multitrack recording from ALTERVYNE & CRY BABY; Also coming is a 2-PAK Best Of Set, which will cover the highlights of the previously mentioned Six Disc Set; The release date is not set yet, but the band is hoping for a 2007 release.
Okay...This is currently the official site for information regarding the bands ALTERVYNE & CRY BABY. A new official website is a few weeks away. Here is some history in a nutshell.
The band started out in 1984 as a cover band called INTRUDER. By late 1985, the band regrouped doing original music...and with a new name...ALTERVYNE. From 1985 to 1990 ALTERVYNE recorded 3 CDs worth of material, and started a 4th. However, as with any long term endeavor, change was inevitable, and in 1991, ALTERVYNE lost it's female voice, and became CRY BABY. The next 3 years would see 3 more CDs...including the 1994 album which earned them a Grammy Nomination...A GOOD, FIRM MUSICAL SPANKING. By the summer of 1996...after 12 years...the band now known as CRY BABY...called it a day.
Fast Forward 10 years...2006...frontman Steve Witner gathers all remaining source tapes and begins the remastering process. The result is a Box Set, a Best Of package, and a re-release of A GOOD FIRM MUSICAL SPANKING all due out in 2007. Of course...all of this hustle and bustle has gotten the powers-that-be talking...and you guessed it...a reunion show is coming! ...and with a new decade...a new name...There's alot going on...so stay tuned!

Hey Guys! Hope all is well. I just found the Cry Baby cd, which was missing in action ever since I moved into my current address almost 5 years ago.When I moved a couple cd's fell behind my curio and I never saw them until tonight when I moved some furniture around.Wow! I am going to spend this weekend listening and reliving that spanking that I got from that cd many years ago.Hope to see you in August.
