I've only seen one of your plays but I plan on seeing some more.
and just a random thought... Have you heard of Little Shop of Horrors? I don't know why I thought of that, but that would be really cool to see somebody put that show on.
so i saw bent last weekend and it was fabulous...everyone did an amazing job! i look forward to seeing many more shows in the future..thanks for accepting my friend request:)

In fact the Amarillo Little Theatre was very publicly condemned for its staging of "Blackbird" in a letter to the editor of the Amarillo Globe News. I also recently read an article in the newspaper that a woman in Lubbock was asked to remove her art work from a gallery that portrayed a woman breastfeeding. How very sad that we are still having to defend the arts in 2009.
I don't understand the reason behind Repent Amarillo's actions. If one theater is targeted and why not all of them. Amarillo Little Theatre just did "Blackbird" which is about a pedophile and rape.
I wanted to let the entire cast and crew of "Bent" know what an outstanding job they did last weekend, especially under the circumstances. Acting, at the best of times, is an exercise in bravery but a special brand of courage and dedication is required to portray a story of such anguish in the middle of such turmoil. Like the characters in "Bent" show us, no matter the situation, you can find your way through it with love. You guys love what you do and it is obvious. I am very proud that my son is a part of your merry band of brothers.
