Hi, I'm Avery, also known as Ave, also known as Avenue. (Hence my shop name. Brilliant!)
I make things. Things to wear, mostly (like jewelry and scarves), but also things to look at or send in the mail (like collages and notecards).
I love to scavenge around thrift stores and flea markets, so most of my creations incorporate vintage or antique finds. I love that when I make something new out of something old, I'm adding layers to the stories of that the object's history. Plus, I hear old is the new new.
In my day job I don't so much make things as I do create data and move pixels around. Oh, and assemble words into stories. So I don't have tons of time to devote to creating, but I do what I can. When I do make things, I make what I love, and it completely makes my day when someone else loves it too. I'd love to hear what you think!
