so much to like here, but i think the quiet reserve and elegant phrasing of "nitsud checks in" grabbed me esp. (elly ameling singing schubert was also playing downstairs. it was a shockingly tasty accidental pairing).
congrats on the album & many thanks for befriending.

A warm summers breeze, blues skies and the shady leaves can feel the hammock sigh beneath the swaying trees that endlessly drink from the banks of the applegate in a state of make believe. See the blackberries? Its the late afternoon of the year and I still gotta farmer's tan.

I got the cd art printed today so the cds are basically done. I'm going to make a bunch of copies today and set up the cdbaby page, let's meet up soon so I can give you a finished copy. I might bring some to the Berbati's show tomorrow, we should book a release show at the chaos soon too.

hey, thanks mate. to answer your question, yes i do record all by my lonesome. kinda sorta hoping to make a career out of it - theoretically assembling a backing band... i really need your vibes man. second to the pedal steel, the vibraphone is my favorite instrument.

keep in touch!

i was thinking about it just being guitar and keys, for the majoity of the song. and the loud part having drums and bass, and so on.

Watch Start Fires on Portland Noise

Episode 5

Meet Start Fires -- DMLH and Shermstyxx bring uplifting lyrical hip-hop for personal empowerment, over fresh old-school "digalog" futurebeat, spitting razor-sharp deliveries about politics, culture, history and possibility that ignite dancefloors here in sunny Portland, Oregon. Recorded live at the Chaos Parlor on SE Division.
