"Interestingly beautiful pop-rock sounds with a voice that yearns to nourish your senses....." This description barely captures what AVIANA has set out to do. Her mission is to bring alluring pop-rock sounds tied to a serpentine-like rich voice for the world to enjoy.
Aviana is a gifted song writer and singer. From the age of 5, the New Yorker has studied classical piano and violin under the Suzuki method. Additionally, she wrote her first song at the age of 10. Her musical journey really began in March of 2005 when she took her first voice lesson. Despite being in her 20s, Aviana knew her desire to sing would never cease. She currently studies classical, pop, jazz, and flamenco singing.
Singing the emotions and visions of other songwriters was never in Aviana's plan as an artist. Aviana writes and/or co-writes all of her music. It is very important to her that her feelings and her vision come through in her music so that even when you are pulled through her piano playing on the haunting rock song "Before You Break My Heart..." or dancing with no cares in the world to the pounding dance remix of "Before You Break My Heart..." you are enveloped by her vision.
Her life experiences as a classically trained pianist, a competition dancer, volunteer worker in Colombia, and world traveler have molded this French speaking artist. Her interests in pop, rock, vallenato, flamenco, reggae, classical, dance, bollywood, fado, hip hop, and more have led to an interesting array of sounds. Aviana can't help but infuse her many influences into her music.
Aviana continues to study music, in particular flamenco guitar under Torcuato Zamora, flamenco dance from La Genoveva and Edwin Aparicio, flamenco cante from Marija Temo, and Tribal Bellydance from Marta and Suhaila Salimpour. Additionally, next year Aviana will move to Cartagena, Colombia to do volunteer work and to Madrid, Spain to intensively study flamenco and Spanish.
Aviana is one to watch. Her dream to sell out arenas with her singing voice, music, and performances is only but one. She sincerely hopes that her success will inspire her listeners and even more to follow their dreams. She strongly believes that if everyone followed and lived their passion, positivity and peace can only come about.
Aviana's motto is "The life you have lived does not have to be the only life you will live...it's never too late to live out your dreams in our reality."
Although Aviana has not hit the mainstream yet, prepare your senses. Get ready to salivate! Get ready to hear, feel and taste Aviana.
