With three former members of This Blessed Mourning deciding to start something new, they searched fiercely for a new singer and bassist. They found singer C. J. Ward, a third-year student at Pineville's Louisiana College. Quickly, the still incomplete group found themselves in a frenzy of creative harmony. The four meshed well together. The only person who could suffice their needs for a bassist, was Jeff Joplin, a Monroe native, who filled in as a temporary bass player. With Jeff "temporarily" completing the band, they were missing something: a name. Many names were thrown on the table, but only one seemed to fit-- Avianna Fair. Now, the band was ready to play shows, keeping many of TBM's old songs to appeal to a crowd that had not yet heard of their break-up. Soon, Jeff parted with the band, and the veteran members kept in mind a bassist named Jimmy Hale-- who had recently been in a local band. Jimmy agreed to fill the position permanently, and today, that is Avianna Fair: Kyle, Jon, C. J., Leto, and Jimmy. As a band, all members give 100% percent in the song-writing-process. It is a long, drawn-out system; but the finished product is always entirely unique and personal. And this is both Avianna Fair's musical and personal goal-- to create music that cannot be labeled and/or compared to any other song or artist.
