What began as an idea lay dormant for over two years until the summer of 2005, when Casey and Hilary Yarbrough (guitarist and bassist, respectively, of Atlanta band Rolling Sixties) sought out a capable rhythm section for their side project while Rolling Sixties went on hiatus. Their timing couldn't have been better, as good friends and fellow space-mates 1000 Fires were also taking time off, leaving bassist Robert Heublein and drummer Harry Baxley available. After a few practices the chemistry was evident, and songs came together quickly. Descending from diverse musical backgrounds and influences enables them to create a distinctive sound that still maintains a solid foundation--fusing elements of math, rock, progressive, and even classical. The people just want to play music that they love, and the finished product is Aviator.
Just dropping by to let you know that I've posted a new tune on my page called "Break the Habit and the Wolves Get You". It's a remix of a tune called "You Are My Habit" by China White (check out their page, link's in my top friends). Please give it a listen and any comments would be gratefully recieved.
