(David Bankins) was born and raised in Silverlake, the ghetto turned artist haven just north of Echo Park. He taught himself how to draw, paint, skate, write, rhyme and work the boards… though he still needs some help with his dancing. He's LC's resident freestyle king and has been involved in hip hop all of his life, most notably with the short-lived Futurelics crew in the mid-90's.
Some shit I made with no regrets...
Left@Bumps Album Cover Art...
The new full-length album, Left@Bumps is now available. It's 15 professionally mixed and mastered tracks with full-color artwork. Guest appearances include DJ Troma, HOE1FAT, and Scott Shiflett (Viva Death/Face to Face). It's been a long time and we know that, so it was very important to us to put out a professional release. No printed at home, cd-r, fucked up level shit here... this album is as pro as we could muster.
(Thanks to all the true friends for the time, love, passion, kick downs, discounts, handouts, bong loads, and other helping hands... we love ya'll! Thanks for believing in us!!!)
"so calLED REALITIES" was our 2nd album. Released in 2004 it represented a step-up in growth for us both musically and lyrically. It contains 14 gritty tracks picked straight from the orange haze backdrop of NE LOS. Guest Appearances by Nameless (Main Page) and Lorilye.
"Progress Function was our 1st release. The 12 track LP really stands for where we came from and where we were going. Released in January 2003, Progress Function was the culmination of an unlikely collaboration between three very different personalities unified in the love and appreciation of hip hop. It truly represents our journey from knuckleheads to entrepreneurs.

If you're looking for beats hit me up. I'm always looking to expand. Below is the player from the Learning Curve page. Let me how you're feeling it.
It's all about the concepts! We solemnly swear that you'll never hear an LC track that doesn't have an original or at least interesting topic to make you think a little bit. The
point isn't to aim above your head, it's to put the crosshairs square on it. LA is a place
that provides endless opportunity for inspiration: from the quiet streets of Pasadena to
North Hollywood's grime, from the chaos of Koreatown to that Venice breeze, from the
lights on Sunset to the echo of freeways in Silverlake; Los Angeles is home. The rhymes
always seem to reflect that.
As a crew, we aren't really about representin' or getting jiggy, we just want to kick back,
crack open a brew and listen to some good music. With such few opportunities to do so
these days, we figured what the hell, we'll just make our own. We promise to keep dropping albums until we all hate each other – which hopefully is a long, long time from now. And so with a diverse crew of three (Avid D, Turtle, and Bakus) the quest began:
We just released our 3rd LP called, Left@Bumps. Our two previous releases were SO
CALled Realities (2004), and Progress Function, respectively. Our music has taken us on
tour (Warped 2003 & 2004), and provided show opportunities in various LA shit holes.
We've handled ours on the Code of tha Cutz stage, along with such acts as NonPhixion,
Glue, P.O.S., and in LA with the likes of Heiroglyphics' Casual and Tajai, Living Legends' Scarub and Sunspot Jonz, Dilated Peoples' Evidence, Stone Throw's WildChild, M.E.D., Team Getem and Percee P, Visionaries' 2mex, Chino XL, Konfident, Rhyme Addicts, Self Scientific, Area 51, Human Beings, Lost Animals, Nathan Nice, DJ Troma, Brontosaurus, DJ Frenetic, and DJ Eros.
