Toronto Based neo/modern jazz sextet who stretch the fibers of music and embrace the elastic return. The AG:6’s undulating groove and metric indulgences are offset by penetrating melodies and fiery interplay. Even in their deepest moments there is a clarity of concept, embracing the heritage but making it their own. This modern jazz group's improvisational-music language continues to expand, inspired and facilitated by the compositional body penned by the group’s architect. The group has been performing in different incarnations since 2002. The AG:6 released their latest CD "Avi Granite:6 - Red Tree" on Pet Mantis Records.
