Originally called Avalon, Avision Red has taken their love of technical rock from form to function. The quartet could be considered a best kept secret of the local scene, taking the last 6 months to practice and sharpen their music as opposed to playing an abundance of shows. So what makes AVR different from the rest? Aside from their unique melodic sound, the band takes pride in being a real entity. They argue, they yell, they fight over the small things. They are relentless perfectionists and will go out of their way to get their way. They do this because when they come out on stage, they want to make sure each and every person listening to them hears them at their best, sees them at their finest, and takes that experience home with them, falling asleep with ringing ears and a smile on their faces, from beginning to always.

This is pretty sweet. Do you guys ever do any acoustic stuff? I've been wanting to do some acoustic/ambient remixes of stuff like this for awhile (Think "Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape" by Underoath or "Pace Yourself" by The Higher) and I would love to do something like that for you guys. I just downloaded all of your tracks off here.
