AVIVA /Dmitry Lukianenko/ known as a Russian classical composer has been taking a great interest in progressive rock and metal since 2002 (In 1999 he had the similar experience. Being a part of band MASQUERAGE he recorded 12-minute suite "Neverminded" in vein of DREAM THEATER and SYMPHONY X). In 2007 the French label MUSEA issued his the first solo album "Rokus Tonalis" composed in the style of progressive rock.
This album is a real symphony for keyboards and rock instruments based on Hindemith's "Ludus Tonalis". There is a lot of samples and human speech. One can find even vanguard and classical moments on the album but in general "Rokus Tonalis" is a real progressive rock project.
In 2006 Dmitry decided to form the real band "Aviva Omnibus" and they released new album "Nutcracker in Fury" based on Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" with lots of progressive and fusion elements in 2007.
