"I suppose you could liken it to wandering through a candy
store, trying a little of this, a little of that, putting some things
back, popping a couple different flavors into your mouth at the same
time, mixing sour with sweet, hard with chewy..." Paul Nurminen - MixElektro Records
WHO: John C is AVMUS. John C. is a 28 year old CT native. John C. is also in a band called Greylyng. "Oiwa", Greylyng's debut CD is available for puchase!!
WHAT: Avmus is the alter-ego of John C.. It includes several art forms; visual art including painting and screen-printing, music, and digital video. For over two years Avmus was a cable access show that aired weekly. This was a demonstration of abstract and surreal imagery with sound via digital video. Music has always been the primary focus. Official AVMUS site. ENJOY!!!
WHEN: Avmus was born in the year 2000 in the city of Providence, RI. Avmus started as an easier alias to use for booking shows in the Providence area. Previously, Avmus was called Gallimimus and didn't encompass the visual side of John C. Accidental coincidence that audio-visual can be seen in A Vmus.
WHERE: The Avmus production studio is in CT.
WHY: John C. was always into art as a child. Studying visual art at Roger Williams University gave John C. the knowledge needed which has carried over into his music. Composition, structure, texture and movement are the key elements that make up avmus. Basically the love of sound design and programming drive avmus.

Hey John, buying a place is scary! Chris and I are going thru it too. Everywhere is so expensive. Good luck with that whole thing, it's a big undertaking but worth it in the long run I think. Real estate always goes up it seems, so you'll make money when you go to see the place later down the road. Anyway, yes I'm all done with Southern! Kristin and I actually leave for France today. We are going with UArts in Philly on a tour of all the museums, etc. in Paris and South of France. Should be fun, but I hate flying. I guess it's not so much flying I hate...it's giving up control. Anyway, good luck at SCSU! What classes are you taking? I had to sit next to Jerry during graduation.... booooooooo!
YO! Sorry we had to leave your show! Graham wanted to leave because it was his birthday and a bunch of people were waiting for us at Dempseys. But it was def cool to see you play. I think you sounded the best, you laid down the rad beats! And it was so nice to finally meet your fiance! She's totally cute. Hope to meet up with you guys again soon.

Hello, thanks for adding us, we really appreciate your interest!
Im really sorry this isnt a personal message, but, seeing as we don’t spend every waking minute logged onto myspace, combined with the encouraging fact that there seems to be (bizarrely) a lot of you out there who like what we’re doing, we cant shake your hand (virtually or not)!
However, we love to chat, so you can be confident that any compliments/suggestions/
howdys/complaints/down right abuse fielded in our direction will get a personal response from one of the keys, even if there is occasionally a short delay…
Anyway, hope you are well, and to hear from you soon.
