Formed in early 2004, “The Awakening” currently consists of four members. Probably like most bands, it is fashioned from the pieces of other broken bands, with the exception of two brothers who have jammed together since picking up their instruments. Brent and Cledo, from a now extinct band known as Plan-B, play lead guitar and drums, respectively. Inducted sometime in ’04, Dale, from Delta, OH, joined the mix to fill the spot of rhythm guitar. The band needed somebody that appreciates that type of music, and could bring new ideas and riffs to the table.
From the very beginning we sought out for somebody from the area that could actually sing. This turned out to be way more of a challenge than we bargained for. We put out ads, went to karaoke contests, you name it. The result was nothing more than a self-involved psycho retard attraction. But we were fortunate in coming across Zak, a honkey-tonk be-donkey-donk from Tennessee, whose only interest in life is to sing. A friend of mine came up to me when I was frequenting a fine hole-in-the-wall establishment one karaoke night. He informed me that he knew of a dude that “could” sing. I reluctantly agreed to stick around and witness this supposed ability. Indeed he could sing, much to my surprise.
In conclusion, one of our goals as a band is to bring forth stimulating melodic music that evokes human emotion through an impulsive drive and doesn’t mimic the whiny dildo genre of music that dominates the radio waves today.

Hey The Awakening , what's up! Thanks for your friendship and support. It really means a lot to us!
