Signed with Killin-time records in 2003 in view to recording the debut album. After recording ‘When silence calls’ with Pete ‘Pee-wee’ Coleman (Rush, Paradise lost), the album was released by Carbon 13 records. Humanity’s sights looked upwards and next they played a series of high profile gigs with the likes of Evergrey, Breed 77, Dragonforce, Blaze Bayley, Jeff Scott Soto and Children of Bodom.
As reputation started to build it was time to record a new album. With the help of Killin-time now as management Humanity went to Goteborg, Sweden to record under the wing of Tomas England of Evergrey fame. The new album called ‘Illumination’ was a side step from the traditional metal sound that was heard on ‘When silence calls’. Due to musical differences a member was lost and a new name was adopted; Awake.
Awake swung strait into an extensive UK and European tour with Evergrey. Lion Music of Finland stepped up to release ‘Illumination’ worldwide and Awake embarked on another UK tour with Magnum.
The future looks bright as Awake will play festivals in the UK and Europe this summer with further tours lined up towards the end of the year.

Just wanted to say that a year ago tomorrow I seen you play for the first time ever, your music has kept me going over some not so nice times, and also has given me some rockin times....much to the annoyance of the neighbours, but never mind lol! Just wanted to let you know that you guys are appreciated and I do truely believe that your music is the best. You all deserve the best and cheers to keith who made me a very happy bunny too. See you in August, I WILL get to the front if it kills me lol. Now for my usual nag.... Keep the hard work going and get a move on with this album and the new website too. How come you guys didn't get any pics taken on 2/4/09 ? I see the other bands have all put pics up of that evening.
