Signed with Killin-time records in 2003 in view to recording the debut album. After recording ‘When silence calls’ with Pete ‘Pee-wee’ Coleman (Rush, Paradise lost), the album was released by Carbon 13 records. Humanity’s sights looked upwards and next they played a series of high profile gigs with the likes of Evergrey, Breed 77, Dragonforce, Blaze Bayley, Jeff Scott Soto and Children of Bodom.
As reputation started to build it was time to record a new album. With the help of Killin-time now as management Humanity went to Goteborg, Sweden to record under the wing of Tomas England of Evergrey fame. The new album called ‘Illumination’ was a side step from the traditional metal sound that was heard on ‘When silence calls’. Due to musical differences a member was lost and a new name was adopted; Awake.
Awake swung strait into an extensive UK and European tour with Evergrey. Lion Music of Finland stepped up to release ‘Illumination’ worldwide and Awake embarked on another UK tour with Magnum.
The future looks bright as Awake will play festivals in the UK and Europe this summer with further tours lined up towards the end of the year.
Not long back from the bristol gig and had to write to say thank for the great gig tonight. You were fantastic again tonight. Loved the new songs too, can't wait to hear them on a track. From what I seen, looks like you got some more well deserved recognition from new fans tonight. Thanks for making my night a special one too. Good luck with the rest of the gigs. You are in my car and my mp3 player Your music & lyrics means so much to me, you truely are a fantastic band who deserve so much success. Please let there be lots more gigs in the next 12 months .....and loads over here by me . Will be seeing you in november, ticket already in hand, can't wait. Even better if you can get a a headlining gig over here, i think support bands as a whole are a little ripped off when it comes to playing times. You guys are never on stage long enough.

Bought my tickets for this gig 2 months or so ago now and wasn't gonna bother going ( it being bonfire night ) but I WILL be there for sure.
