Awal Ashaari has rapidly risen over the last few years to become one of the most recognised faces on television. Apart from his exposure as a host on various reality show; Sehati Berdansa, Sensasi & Beat TV, he has also acted in series & movies such as Impak Maksima The Series, Apa Kata Hati and I'm Not Single. Awal will next make his theater debut in Impak Maksima The Musical. He recently fronted the reality television show One In A Million for a second time on the urban oriented 8TV. He is currently hosting the youth talk show Generasi Y on the conservative RTM and he is the only male to join the bevy of female presenters on TV3's Womens Segment, helming the fashion focussed edition, W, on Wednesdays. Apart from that, he is frequently seen on numerous television dramas, which add to an already lengthy resume that includes appearing in the feature films Diva and the soon to be released Malaikat Maut. An added trivia is that he auditioned and made it to semi-final round of Malaysian Idol and he is currently the ambassador for karaoke establishment Red Box.
