This is Will's cousin Molly's dissertation project, made on location in Cornwall last Spring. It was a strange experience, being put on film. Profuse thanks to Molly for her professional skills, and hard work. The film has just won a Royal Society Award for best Student Documentary. We are at present working on creating a weekly video blog of our travels and what we come across. There is also talk of a further documentary. Please see www.awalkaroundbritain.com for updates etc. If anyone wishes to commission a film or similar project, contact us and we'll pass the word along. Much love Molly.

WE ARE WALKING AROUND BRITAIN. We are singing old 'folk' songs for our supper, kipping wheresoever we may find ourselves, and meeting the land and people and fellow dwellers of hereabouts.
Many sundry folk ask us : "Why are you doing this?"
There are many many answers to this question. Who can ever explain their actions? We do not wish to make excuses, nor to create limits and heirarchies, illusions of cause or intent.
After all, what could be simpler than walking and singing?
It's a jolly enough life. People are welcome to come along.
Please take a look at www.awalkaroundbritain.com for further details. xx
Beautiful film friends, an absolute pleasure and affirmation for me and my cobbled together set of principles and ideas on life, people and the like. You are two true men of the world. Look forward to seeing you both (and you ginge!) Are you in canters this weekend? having a small feed and sing song catch up at the farm, so do come by. Are you lounge bound? The new band is playing on the sunday, be a treat if you could catch the set. Love xxx
thanks for the add gentlemen, good luck with your fine scheme! i live in a castle in the bleak north- do pop by if you go a walking near durham and i'm sure we could put you up for the night. dave
Hello Ed and Will! I haven't stopped by for awhile and your page looks really beautiful. I just watched the film and enjoyed it tremendously. How pleased you two must be to bring such joy to people's lives. All the best with your continuing journeys and adventures. Take care, Lori x
I just want to say how much I enjoy your songs and stories. I love your renditions of Adieu Sweet Lovely Nancy and the Diggers Song. I was dismayed that you recommended that video from BBC5/911truth Bristol though. I would assume that being in touch with bare-bones reality as much as you are, you would see right through this kind of pieced-together falsified intellectualization , with its implication that there is nothing ordinary people can do against an all-powerful ancient conspiracy. Back when I travelled long distances by foot and bicycle, I remember feeling the power and clarity that come from living and being at ground-level; I know you are having a similar experience and I love hearing you express it in terms of the unique experiences you are having and the songs that speak to your hearts in that place.

Hello! If you come across a copy of Wilkie Collins 'Rambles beyond Railways' pick it up, it's a true travel journal of two young chaps traversing Cornwall by foot in the late 1800's, made me think of you! xxx
