We are proud to announce that work is finished on our first full-length release, The Bells Before Dawn, which is now available as a limited 12" record on the vinyl label DAIS (their page is linked below). I feel that the ritual and tradition involved with the vinyl medium is ideal for the birth of our first volume. The album includes some familiar songs reworked as well as new tracks.

Awen is a vehicle for the visions and intonations of Erin Powell with the chief assistance and musicianship of Eric Kristopher of the Industrial electronic project unitcode:machine. Awen is an old Brythonic word for inspiration. The sound is inspired by ancestral entities and archetypal imagery. The bonds of blood are never broken. You are your ancestor. This blood mysticism is the crux of the work. In order to represent this ideology we have chosen to describe the project's sound as Ancestral Ambient.
