We do our best to sound just like the artists who originally performed the songs that we play. On any given night, we could sound like 25 different bands.
Hailing from Portland, Maine, the Awesome has been together since the winter of 2004. With a cache of over 90 songs! The Awesome has not ceased to entertain the masses since the beginning, and no two shows sound alike. The musicians that comprise The Awesome each have a rather impressive resume in their own right, having performed in bands such as Zion Train, BassBox, Daro, Boombazi, The Seen, The Royal Hammer, Nigel Hall, Lost Cause Desperados, Killer Queen, Who's Pink, Chronic Funk, One Two Many, As Fast As, A Murder of Crows, The Dandy Lions, Chronus '75, The Soul Movement, , Sly Chi, The Press, Inside Straight... and the list goes on. Since their first performance, The Awesome has continued to grow in popularity, selling out local clubs such as The Big Easy and Bubba's Sulky Lounge. The band has also performed at many professional functions such as weddings, business parties, etc.
Thanks for the add, we saw you last night for the first time in Waterville at Champions and enjoyed you more than the main act! Hope to see you up this way again!

In town for a wedding and caught your show at Bubba's. Our group had so much fun, Thanks for a great time. We have heard so much about you from friends, and we finally got to experience "the awesome". Love it! Please come to VT someday :)

Bubba's is located in Portland, Maine, at 92 Portland St, across from Deering Oaks Park. There will be costumes and light sabres, and we will be rocking the hell out untl 1AM. The bouncers will be Storm Troopers, and the one and only Darth Vader will be DJ'ing the gig. Get liquored up and JOIN THE DARK SIDE. USE THE FORCE! Bring everyone you know.
The bar will be open, and this is 21+ ONLY-bring ID. (No Jedi mind tricks)
We will be playing Michael Jackson, Madonna etc.
We will be rocking 80's tunes, and other dance music. It is going to rock! Bring glowsticks, whistles, whatever (like an old school rave)
