You either call upon suspension of disbelief, e.g. fantasy, or you make the movie halfway realistic. If the movie is neither, I will then pick up on this and proceed to make fun of the movie. Spaceships do not make U-turns. Planes can make u-turns because they push against the air. Otherwise, it's more efficient to point the tail forward and fire the rockets. | | Television | Umm...I like not commercials at all, and the actual programming is only slightly better. About me:
Name: Daniel
striking quality: most people comment on my intelligence. Or at least they used to. Now that I'm at university, people don't say it so much.
Hobbies: Reading, annoying my little brother, contemplating various thoughts that float through my brain. Watching the looks on people's faces when I tell them my major.
I would like to go to a renaissance fair, if only it weren't so crowded. Minor interest in Society for Creative Anachronism.

Who I'd like to meet:
Persons with high-intelligence hobbies/interest (read: geeks of various types) willing to be patient if mechanic type or computer geek. Language and math geeks good; literary geeks, not so much--not that I won't be interested, but more that I'm not widely read, so we won't have much in the way of common ground.
