For over 10 years the Australasian Wrestling Federation (AWF) has worked towards giving Australians a Professional Wrestling product that they can follow, enjoy and take pride in. As we enter 2010, there has never been a more exciting time to get amongst the hype of the AWF.
The AWF has been running live wrestling events for over ten years now across Australia and has the most solid and best drawing show in the country. AWF sets the standard in Australian wrestling by presenting visually spectacular, high quality professional wrestling events that utilise the premier talent from Australia and abroad featuring matches, interviews and storylines incorporating the best in Australian pro-wrestling today.
AWF aims to provide action packed, spectacular professional wrestling events providing the highest standard for pro-wrestling for fans across Australia & New Zealand. AWF live events are frequently promoted out of Club, Sporting and Community venues, as well as part of outdoor concerts, festivals and presentations. DVD's and official AWF apparel can be purchased at AWF live events or on the website through the AWF store.
All AWF wrestling talent is professionally trained, and our performers keep their skills refreshed by working out regularly at Australia 's premier pro-wrestling training facility the AWF School of Pro-Wrestling based in St Andrews, NSW. It is the school of choice in Australia for any aspiring wrestler.
AWF wrestlers compete for the Australasian Heavyweight Championship, the Commonwealth Championship which is an open division title, the AWF Tag Team Championship and the Young Lion's Championship, which is for competitors 25 years old and under.
All events are conducted under the guidelines set out by the Department of Sport and Recreation to ensure the safety and cover needed for our fans, performers, and venues. To date AWF has promoted shows in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA and New Zealand.
