A World Away, now known as Versus The Ocean was formed in late 2005. After Playing Countless throughout Michigan, AWA headed to the studio in mid 2006 to record "Dinosaurs on a Cruise Ship" (later re-released as a Versus The Ocean album). After the release of the album, AWA continued to play shows and in late 2006 they decided that drummer Chuck Hendricks was not working out and he was quickly replaced by Matt Weber. Several months later Dan decided that the band was not him and left his position ..s, a position that was never filled. After all the changes and the addition of a new singer later, AWA changed their name to Versus The Ocean with the line up you see today.
