With a decade having passed since his first international album release, Akshai Sarin is a man of many firsts: one of the only Indian electronica acts to headline alongside top-flight international artistes, get airplay on channels like BBC 'Radio ONE' and perform everywhere from Mumbai to Melbourne.

Recently shortlisted for the "Young Music Entrepreneur Of the Year 2009" award, Akshai is busy developing AXYZ Music International's (pronounced "axis") India operations: a vertically integrated, globally active group of companies involved in all stages of the music economy from development to delivery. With a content distribution network spanning 26 countries, it has offices in India, Egypt, Philippines and Australia.

Akshai has traveled and performed all over the globe, playing alongside Herbie Hancock at music festivals in Edinburgh, Calvin Klein fashion shows in Paris and uber-clubs like Ministry of Sound. He has worked with top names in the business from Janet Jackson to Yahel. Akshai is an ex-member of Shiva Soundsystem UK – who have played all over the world, including headlining with top names in the dance music business, Sasha and Digweed.

Pulsing with spirituality and wit, Akshai’s versatile technology-driven set uses interactive techniques such as such as live recording, laptops, exotic instruments and live remixing to elevate the 'clubbing experience' as we know it to a whole new level.
Not restrained to any one genre, Akshai's music encompasses influences from his travels around the world, amalgamating different techniques to create unique sounds and styles. Akshai got his first keyboard at age 8, began training on the tabla at 11, and was experimenting with innovative new sounds and making his own 'turntables' and music mixer at the age of 14. By the time he turned 16, Akshai had finished composing songs for his first album “Soundscapes.”

Akshai is currently composing and recording his new album .::CONNECTED::. featuring a host of international musicians, including artists from the USA, UK, Russia, Estonia, Germany, Egypt, India, Philippines and Japan.

Akshai is playing multiple shows at the Singapore F1, including the finale set by live electronica band "Chikoo" @ F1 Rocks. The set is after Beyonce and the festival also features Black Eyed Peas, ZZ Top, No Doubt, N.E.R.D, Seb Fontaine!

Recently previewed his new collaboration titled Anoni with legendary Israeli DJ Yahel. It is available globally on Armin Van Buuren's Armada Music's WORLDWIDE TRANCE VOL. 3 and Yahels album XPORT.

Akshai & Moonbeam's new collaboration Elephant Ride featuring Russian vocalist Avis Vox now has a music video; its being supported by Tiesto and will be releasing on a major international dance music label soon.

Live tour of SE Asia, Australia and India featured guest appearances with MTV Philippines "Artist of the Year" - Kitchie Nadal , percussionist Bo Razon (who has played with legendary acts such as Santana and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Dj Vadim’s album launch and the Emerging Writers Festival in Melbourne.
